‘Friends of Gigabites’ is a new organisation formed in 2009. This is a much valued group, who work behind the scenes by raising funds to support the ongoing work with young people at Gigabites Youth Project.
The aims of Friends are:
- To raise funds on behalf of Gigabites Youth Project to further its youth work and activities
- To work in partnership with other agencies and organisations
- To promote community activities in partnership with Gigabites Youth Project
So far, ‘Friends’ have supported Gigabites through the Bargoed Carnival, an Art & Craft Fayre and the Bargoed Christmas Fayre.

- Bargoed Spring Fayre at the Emporium Car Park on Saturday, 27th March, 2010
- Art & Craft Fayre at Gigabites on Saturday, 8th May, 2010
- Sponsored Walk to Cwm Darren Parc. Starting from Gigabites at 10 am on Saturday, 17th April, 2010
